Testimonials
As a company, CPS are efficient and effective. They can react to last minute requests; are always able to provide the numbers of SIA qualified security guards that we require and have never let us down in terms of those numbers.
What I am extremely impressed on is the quality of the individuals they provide. They are smart, professional, and capable and I would trust them to provide the required level of service if there were any incidents.
The relationship is such that they can provide us with feedback and suggested improvements to our service, as well as delivering the standard security to our two sites at the Riverside Stadium and Rockliffe Training Ground. Therefore, I’d suggest they go over and above in

We have worked in partnership with Close Protection Security for more than 7 years now. In my experience of security firms over the last 33 years at AV Dawson Port of Middlesbrough, there are usually two types. The first are large corporates to whom you are just a number, who don’t have an affinity with the area and therefore have no vested interest in the relationship beyond profit.
The second type traditionally are those only half a step at most removed from the unsavoury characters we hope our staff and our business will be protected against. These firms survive through fear tactics and intimidation.
Glenn Bartlett and Close Protection Security have always been 100% professional whilst still having the personal touch and local understanding that is an essential quality. Always courteous always immaculately presented and above all they keep our site secure to the highest levels audited by Government bodies and to Freeport standards.

The Port Of Middlesbrough
For your info, we ran a Security Exercise on 23/10/23 with one of our security lads posing as a “Suspicious male” in a vehicle. He visited numerous sites around the area including Port of Middlesbrough.
You’ll be glad to hear that your security team were red hot in spotting him.
The lad walking the fence line, spotted him first, then the Port Supervisor went out from the gatehouse and challenged him, obtaining as much detail as possible, finally the mobile patrol found him again, parked round the corner and again challenges were made.
All done extremely professionally, politely and efficiently.
Our lad, who’s one of the security managers, was quite impressed with them. In addition, I turned up 20 minutes later and received a full comprehensive briefing from the Port Supervisor, detailing the male, vehicle and what happened.
They did really well and it’s great to see.
